ChainShare lets you share text, markdown, and code via a short link. We designed this service to minimize friction and data collection.

What We Store

  • Shared Content: The text you submit is stored in our data store (Upstash/Redis or equivalent) until it expires. We do not index content for SEO.
  • Expiry Metadata: Each share has a creation time and an optional expiration time (e.g., 1 day, 1 week).
  • Minimal Logs: We may store basic operational logs (timestamps, request IDs, and rate-limit counters) to keep the service reliable and prevent abuse.
  • Wallet Public Keys: If you connect a wallet, your public address may be referenced for gating or tip links. We do not request private keys.

What We Don’t Collect

  • No passwords or traditional account data.
  • No tracking pixels or invasive analytics in dev mode.
  • No sale of personal data—period.

Content Responsibility

ChainShare is a conduit for user-submitted content. We are not responsible for the contents of shared links. If you encounter illegal or inappropriate material, please report it using the report button so we can review and act where appropriate.

Third-Party Services

We use infrastructure providers (e.g., Vercel for hosting, Upstash/Redis for storage). These providers may process IP addresses and request metadata as part of normal operation.

Data Retention

Shares are automatically removed when they expire. Operational logs and rate-limit counters are short-lived. We reserve the right to delete content earlier if it violates our terms or the law.

Security

We take reasonable measures to safeguard stored content. However, no system is perfectly secure. Do not share secrets or private keys. For sensitive data, consider client-side encryption before sharing.

Your Choices

  • Do not share sensitive information.
  • Use the expiration options to keep content temporary.
  • Disconnect your wallet anytime in your wallet provider UI.
